The practice of yoga provides different individual benefits for everyone, but holistically, yoga benefits our entire being; practicing yoga benefits both our minds and our bodies. Not only does it improve fitness, ease tense muscles, improve flexibility and physical structural alignment it can have a profound affect on stress, anxiety and depression reduction and more importantly helps to calm and quiet the mind.
Perfect for newcomers interested in seeing what the yoga buzz is all about. Also a great class for those looking to strengthen the foundation of their yoga practice. Emphasis will be on learning healthy and SAFE alignment and connecting key poses with the breath in moving meditation. Be prepared to feel better, learn something new, and have FUN!
A class designed to improve on learned yoga poses and breathing techniques while building confidence in your practice of yoga.
Level I – II
A class which builds on your Level I knowledge and where more challenging poses are introduced. As your practice develops, move into a class that allows you to challenge yourself while placing emphasis on the fundamental practices of yoga. This class is suitable for anyone, as modifications are always offered.
All Level Flow
This class is open to all levels of practice. Your instructor will give you options and modifications throughout the class. More complex poses may be introduced for advanced students, while beginners can work at their own level and work towards what’s next!
Yoga Tone is about strength and flexibility. Traditional yoga asanas combined with light weights for definition and tone with a focus on breathwork all set to energizing music for a full body workout.
Restorative yoga can be viewed as “active relaxation.” The student assumes the basic shapes of various yoga poses, modified to be totally supported with props (blocks, blankets, bolsters, straps). The result is a deep sense of relaxation, the antidote to chronic stress and its damaging effects.
A class designed to relax, renew, and help to restore vital strength and balance while incorporating gentle stretches, postures and breathing.
Yin Yoga focuses on the connective tissues in the body (tendons, ligaments, fascia) through a slow and meditative practice with poses held up to three to five minutes, sometimes longer, to safely stretch the body’s connective tissues, maintaining integrity in the joints, improving mobility and flexibility, and balancing the flow of energy throughout the body. Yin yoga enhances the practice of meditation and mindfulness.
Yoga for Kids
A fun and interactive class especially designed for kids ages 8 to 12 (3rd through 6th grade) utilizing basic yoga poses to facilitate focus, body awareness, self acceptance, strength and flexibiilty, balance and anxiety reduction.
